Fairfax County
Alarm Registration
Although alarm system registration is not required for residential users in Fairfax County, Urban Alarm highly recommends that you register your alarm system to avoid confusion and streamline emergency response procedures. You can either pick up a form from the City Treasurer's Office in City Hall or request a form by mail by calling 703 385 7902 or emailing them by visiting Security Alarms section of their website and clicking on the 'email us' link.
For the city of Fairfax there is no registration fee for residential users and a $25 registration fee for commercial users. For areas outside the city of Fairfax in Fairfax County there is a $25 registration fee for both residential and commercial users.

Arlington County
Alarm Registration
Urban Alarm will lead you through the registration and submission process for alarm systems in Arlington County. There is a $30 fee for commercial registration and no fee for residential registration.
False Alarm Reduction Unit (FARU)
The following are false alarm fees for residential properties for a 12-month period. Please visit the Arlington, Virginia Police False Alarm Enforcement Office website for a complete fee schedule and more information.

Loudoun County
Alarm Registration
You can submit the registration form for both residential and commercial properties online or you can print and mail the form to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. There are no fees for residential or commercial registration. Registration must be renewed at no cost every 2 years.
