Alarm.com offers unique and practical functionality for residential and commercial security alarm systems. Functionality that will benefit all alarm systems include:
  • Wireless backup to your phone line - alarm signals will get to the central station and fire/police even if the phone line is not functional or is cut. The system can also be used where no phone line is available (e.g., where cel or VOIP is used).
  • Easy Internet management of users and PIN codes for arming and disarming the alarm system.
  • Control your system using a PDA or mobile phone.
  • Access history system events.

Alarm.com controls access to your system through a secure Website. You delegate who has access to login and view or control your system.

For installations with multiple sites/locations, the alarm system administrators can view all manages locations from a single Webpage.

 

View Alarm System Status and Recent Events of All Locations on a Single Screen

Security administrators managing multiple sites can view the status and recent events (e.g., alarms, low batteries, system warnings) of all locations from a single summary screen.

 

Arm and Disarm the Security System

The Alarm.com summary page for the Residential or Commercial Security System allows the panel to be armed and disarmed over the Web. The summary page also displays recent alarm system activity.

 

Check Sensor Status and Update Alarm System Sensor Names

View the current status of sensors on your Alarm System. Updating the sensor names has could not be easier. To change the name a sensor simply update the field. The information is updated on your panel automatically.

With Alarm.com's temperature control module you can view the temperature history and set target temperatures for when you are away from your property. Unlike transitional thermostat schedules, this will adjust your temperature when you are actually out of the house.

Arming Supervision is a simple way to be notified if a security system as not be disarmed or armed by a particular time. This is frequently used for businesses or retain alarm systems so owners/managers can be notified if the shop is not opened on time

Trying to change the pin on a traditional alarm system can be challenging or incure costs with the alarm company. It could not be easier to add a new user, change a PIN, or remove a user from the alarm system. Adding a unique PIN for a worker or guest and removing it a few days later is simple and you will know when they arm and disarm the alarm system.

 

Schedule Light to Turn On/Off

The alarm system panel can control lights and appliances via the X10 automation standard. Your lights can be scheduled for a particular time or randomized when you are away and want the property to appear occupied.

Sensor-Light interactions can be created the turn X10 lights or appliances and and off when a particular sensor is triggered. This can turn lights on when a door is opened or a motions sensor is triggered.
